For over 3 decades, I have been asked to address audiences as a speaker at conferences, events and dinners. I’ve had a fair amount of experience as an actress, presenter, public figure and coach on which to draw, as well as gruelling times on reality TV shows, attempting (and often succeeding) to win money for my favourite charities.
I particularly like the challenge weaving into my talks the issues and themes that are audience specific, so that the audience experience is not only engaging, but also insightful and relevant. Below are some of my topics.
Keynote Speaker
THE GAME OF LIFE
Having survived a month stranded on a desert island competing on M-Net’s “Survivor: Santa Carolina”, I look at vital lessons learned and translates them to meaningful interaction in a corporate environment. My presentation, “THE GAME OF LIFE” examines the importance of teamwork, leadership, and individual survival techniques in business. The talk provides individuals with accessible and practical survival techniques to not merely survive, but to thrive in their chosen fields.
WOMEN MEAN BUSINESS
Trend analysts tell us that we are at the start of a ‘female’ century when reverence for traditionally female qualities is on the rise. We are beginning to change the way we do business due not only to large numbers of empowered, educated and determined women in the work place, but also the growing percentage of female consumers who are demanding a voice in the marketplace. They communicate differently; they set goals, and put plans in place based on different criteria.
How can you get the most out of the female value for your organisation? Do you know how to speak to your female staff/clients?
Allow me to unpack the very qualities that make women unique, and look at the best (and worst) that women bring to the table, how they think, what they want, and how to utilise their strengths to your company’s best advantage.
3 SUITCASES AND R100.
35 years ago, I arrived in Johannesburg with 3 suitcases and one hundred rand. The journey from unknown and impoverished wannabe to household name is one filled with heartwarming home truths and outrageous stories, amusing anecdotes and disturbing situations along the way. The presentation is lighthearted in delivery, but contains situations in which we all find ourselves – times when we are tested and have no idea which way to turn. Join me for a healthy dose of laughter, inspiration and practicality that will have you believing that anything to which you set your mind is absolutely and completely possible.
SMART TALKING
Great communication unlocks many doors. It makes people memorable, ensures they are likeable, and empowers them with upward mobility. It unlocks their intellectual capital, allowing them to share their knowledge and insight.
Do your staff communicate at their best levels? Allow me to kick starts the process with my 1 hour presentation “Smart Talking”. In any situation, learn how to:
– Stand out from the noise
– Captivate an audience while delivering a memorable message
– Be a walking ambassador for the vision and values of the company
– Develop a personal brand
Drawing on my years of experience in front of the camera, at conferences and gala dinners, I’ll bring my warmth and considerable expertise to drive home the fact that anyone can be a smart talker.
WOMEN: THE ULTIMATE SURVIVORS
As the saying goes, it’s hard to keep a good woman down. Despite centuries of patriarchal society, inequality, injustice and abuse, women rise – time and again. Women are survivors. Their innate qualities ensure the endurance of a powerful gender.
Women communicate differently; they set goals, and put plans in place based on different criteria. In this keynote, I look at the very qualities that make women unique, and looks at the best (and worst) that women bring to the table, how they think, what they want, and how to utilise those strengths to your company’s best advantage.
The talk is a charming and humorous affirmation of where, as a gender, we have come from, and where we are going to – whether it be in stilettoes or trainers.
