Diversity enhances the performance of teams. This we know as truth. But with diversity come different upbringings, cultures, and methods of expression, all of which affect the way in which communication takes place, and ultimately its effectiveness in transferring concepts and understanding.

For teams to operate optimally, there has to be a conscious acknowledgement of the equal worth of each team member and the willingness to explore and understand differing communication styles, and be adaptive in ones own style in order to strengthen the team dynamic and efficiency. During my interactive workshop, your team will learn how to:

• Identify the verbal and non verbal elements of communication
• Learn what causes barriers to communication
• Understand differing communication styles within their team
• Put into practice their understanding when communicating with team members
• Work towards an ongoing standardisation of communication for the team
